At the time, I didn’t suspect Mary Ellen was about to face something even deadlier than breast cancer, which in her case was an inoperable brain tumor that would gradually rob her of the ability to think clearly and complete a sentence.
After months of occasionally asking people, who had worked with or knew her, how she was faring, I finally went to visit Mary Ellen last summer in Raynham’s Life Care Center facility... Tommy is survived by sons, Christopher and Bruce, and five grandchildren. Mary Jane Francis, a retired Episcopal priest.
